Sleep, exercise, sunshine, nutrition, friends.
That's my top 5 tools to maintain my mental health.
It sets a baseline that improves my emotional resilience and mental health.
Sleep because it's the only time our brains dump metabolic waste (unlike muscle that dumps metabolic waste constantly).
Exercise because it burns up stress neurochemicals and gives me happy neurochemicals.
Sunshine because it triggers my circadian rhythm and helps me sleep at night.
Nutrition because we need building blocks.
And friends because Oxytocin is a critical neurochemical for our brains and hearts.
